The activities of the Primary Trade Union Organization of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University are aimed at controlling the mechanisms for observing labor and socio-economic guarantees provided for by the current labor legislation. Among the main areas of work:

1. To protect the labor, socio-economic rights and interests of trade union members in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine “On Trade Unions, Their Rights and Guarantees of Activity”, “On Education”, “On Higher Education”, and the Labor Code.

2. To implement the Charter of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Ukraine and the resolutions of the highest trade union bodies.

3. To monitor the implementation of the Collective Agreement.

4. To monitor the administration for compliance with safe working conditions.

5. To improve organizational and information work in the trade union organization.

6. To conduct training of trade union activists.

7. Organize health and cultural recreation for employees.

8. Organize children’s recreation.

9. Exercise control in the field of public catering.

10. Develop cooperation with trade union organizations of Ukrainian universities.

11. Report annually to trade union members.
