V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and the II Medical School as its structural unit, aware of its responsibility for upholding the values of the rule of law and integrity, striving to ensure its sustainable development, caring for its own business reputation, to encourage the use of fair commercial practices, as well as in the interests, in particular, but not exclusively, of its Supervisory Board, employees, business partners, higher education applicants, clients, declares that its management bodies, officials and employees in their activities, as well as in legal relations with business partners, state authorities, local self-government bodies, other legal entities and individuals are guided by the principle of zero tolerance for corruption in any of its forms and manifestations and take (will take) all measures to prevent, detect and counteract corruption, as provided for by law.
Karazin University and the II Medical School as its structural unit declare their principled position and condemn corruption as an illegal and unethical way of conducting business.
In order to fulfill the requirements of the current anti-corruption legislation of Ukraine, a leading professional for anti-corruption activities was appointed by order of the rector of Karazin University. The main tasks of the leading professional for anti-corruption activities are:
– preparation and provision of anti-corruption measures;
– monitoring compliance with anti-corruption legislation;
– monitoring compliance with legislation in terms of preventing conflicts of interest and their settlement in cases of their occurrence;
– conducting official inspections on facts that have signs of corruption offenses;
– monitoring the declaration of property, income, expenses and financial obligations;
– interaction with specially authorized entities in the field of combating corruption;
– information, analytical and explanatory work on the prevention and combating of corruption at the university;
– checking applications from employees, university students, other individuals and legal entities on issues related to possible violations of anti-corruption legislation.
